Tourism has been a big part of this region's history since the mid-1800s, when the first boat tours traveled up and down the Wisconsin River past the Cambrian Sandstone Cliffs that make up the Dells. Today, tourists can visit over 77 other attractions, from Circus World to Treasure Island, and do everything from cross-country ski by candlelight to taking a wine tour of Wollersheim Winery.
